Job Title: Development Technician

Position Purpose
The Development Technician is responsible for learning the skills required to support the safe and efficient operations at the LNG Plant or Water World facility, by undergoing structured and targeted on-the-job training. The position focuses on developing technical and behavioral competencies necessary to achieve qualification and certification in the applicable process areas in compliance with EGLNG’s Process Safety Management Program and Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) Policies.
Job Functions
- Promotes and supports Health, Safety and Environmental aspects related to Administration.
- Adhere EGLNG STOP Authority program at all levels and focuses and embraces the concept of a “zero” incident workplace.
- Administer housing and facilities services, ensuring compliance with EG LNG standards and procedures.
- Ensure all office, housing, and accommodation facilities are properly maintained, clean, and ready for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Support housing and facilities logistics during EG LNG process Turnaround (TAR) activities.
- Support to Housing & Facilities Administrator II, including assistance with the Personnel on Board (POB) program when required.
- Manage company vehicles; relocate, refuel, inspect for readiness and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs at authorized service centers.
- Reports all vehicle incidents and accidents immediately to PE Security and the Supervisor, in alignment with HR Vehicle Policy and HESS Vehicle Safety Procedures.
- Distribute beverages and office supplies to the EG LNG Business Center and Training Center as required.
- Perform additional duties such as delivery, pick up of goods and running of errands as assigned.
- Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by the supervisor to support the effective functioning of the Housing & Facilities Team.
- Adhere to the Company's Event Reporting Standard, Life Critical Procedures, Safe work practices.
- Detect and report necessary equipment maintenance, availability and reliability issues to Certified Area Operator / Mentor.
- Actively participate and promote the company's safety observation and leadership safety engagement program.
- Completes all on-the-job, HESS and computer-based training as required for the position.
- Respond appropriately during plant emergencies by mustering at designated areas, participating in drills, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Apply safe handling measures and proper disposal techniques of hazardous and non-hazardous material when performing housekeeping or other related activities.
- Promote a positive attitude and encouragement to support team members.
- Perform additional or other duties as assigned from time to time by the line manager or Supervisor, including personal training and development assignment opportunities.

Education and Experience
Essential:
- EG National with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- National Technological Institute of Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea (ITNHGE) Certificate or National University of Equatorial Guinea (UNGE) degree (preferred).
- No previous work experience is required.
Additional Training:
First aid, CPR, AED, Incipient Firefighting, Emergency Response, Permit-to-Work, Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER), Portable Gas Detector, etc.
Qualities/Attributes
Technical Skills Required:
- Safety Awareness and PPE Usage: Skilled in hazard identification and knowledge of personal protective equipment and basic safety protocols in industrial work environments.
- Tool Handling and Housekeeping: Proper use of hand tools and adherence to cleanliness and order in work areas.
- Basic knowledge of the operating principles of process related equipment including rotating and fixed equipment, process instrumentation and control logics, valves, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platforms to effectively monitor and adjust process variables.
- Technical Writing: Ability to maintain accurate logs and technical reports.
- Emergency Response: Thorough understanding of site‑specific emergency plans, shutdown procedures, muster points, and communication chains.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Ability to lift loads of up to 20 kgs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders with no fear of heights
- Mainly outdoor field environment in varied weather conditions in a hazardous, noisy operating environment.
Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts, including both day and night rotations.
Equipment Operated
- Rotating and fixed process equipment such as pumps, compressors, heaters, vessels, tanks, etc.
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/ Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Fire and Gas Systems Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and any equipment trained to use.
Standard office equipment and personal computer.
