Position Purpose
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function at EG LNG. This senior leadership role ensures the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and practices that support the company’s business objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with local labor laws and corporate standards. The HR Manager acts as a trusted advisor to company leaders and a champion for employee development and engagement. The incumbent is a strategic and a key driver of organizational change and workforce planning. The role also carries governance-level accountability, including responsibilities that extend to the Board of Directors, particularly in areas such as compensation policy and strategic workforce oversight.
Job Functions
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategic plans aligned with EG LNG’s business
goals. - Serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, Deputy Managing
Director, Heads of Departments, and all leaders on all people-related matters. - Lead organizational change initiatives and act as a facilitator for
transformation and continuous improvement.
Talent Management & Development
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure robust succession planning and career development frameworks are in place.
- Champion national workforce development and implement nationalization
programs to support long-term talent sustainability.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations, conflict resolution, and communication strategies.
- Manage disciplinary processes and provide coaching and counseling to
employees and managers. - Promote employee well-being and ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Compensation & Benefits & Shareholder-Directed Policies
- Monitor and maintain competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive
programs. - Lead job evaluation and analysis processes to ensure internal equity and
market competitiveness. - Oversee payroll accuracy and timekeeping systems.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with shareholder resolutions related to compensation and other HR matters.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to shareholders on compensation policy adherence and outcomes.
HR Policy Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR-related policies in alignment with legal
requirements, company values, and industry best practices. - Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws, company policies, and
industry standards. - Maintain accurate HR records and manage core HR services including
performance management, training, and HRIS systems. - Collaborate with Legal and Government Affairs on labor-related matters and
regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons (MMH), Ministry of Labor (MOL), and other relevant government entities.
- Represent EG LNG in external HR forums and support company-sponsored
programs such as ROMS.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the HR team, defining roles, setting performance
expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. - Promote continuous learning and professional development within the HR
function.
Active Member of the Senior Management Team
- Participates in strategic decision-making and contributes to the overall
leadership and direction of EG LNG. - Provides HR insights and perspectives to support business planning,
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business
Administration, Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Labor
Relations, or Sociology is preferred. - Master’s in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or
Industrial Relations is a plus. - Minimum of seven (7) years of extensive Human Resources leadership
experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry and in an International
location.

Physical Requirements / Work Conditions
